Naga Dosha Parihara Puja

Naga Dosha Parihara Puja

Naga Dosha or Sarpa Dosha is an important concept in Hindu astrology, where the influence of negative serpent energies can affect various aspects of an individual’s life. It is believed that this dosha arises due to ancestral karma, the placement of planets in the individual’s birth chart, or past life actions related to serpents. Individuals with Sarpa Dosha may face challenges such as health issues, financial problems, delays in marriage, and family disputes. This dosha is commonly associated with the Kaal Sarp Dosha, which occurs when all the planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu in a person’s birth chart, causing significant difficulties.

The Naga Dosha Parihara Puja is a powerful remedy for neutralizing the adverse effects of this dosha. This ritual aims to appease the Naga or serpent deities and seek their blessings for the well-being of the devotee. The puja involves invoking Lord Shiva, the deity associated with the removal of obstacles and protection from negative energies, and Lord Vishnu, who is considered the protector and preserver of life.

The ceremony typically includes the chanting of specific mantras such as the Naga Mantra and Sarpa Mantras to pacify the serpent energies. Offerings of milk, sesame seeds, ghee, fruits, and flowers are made to the deities while the priest recites sacred hymns and prayers. In some rituals, pindas (rice balls) are offered to the serpents, along with Tarpana (water offerings) to appease the ancestral spirits.

One of the most important aspects of this puja is the Prasada (blessings) from the Naga deities, which help remove obstacles, heal physical ailments, and bring prosperity, happiness, and peace to the devotee’s life. The ritual is commonly performed near Naga Shrines, Rivers, or temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, as these locations are believed to amplify the positive effects of the puja.

Performing the Naga Dosha Parihara Puja in spiritually charged places like Gokarna, a sacred town deeply associated with Lord Shiva, enhances the effectiveness of the ritual. The divine energy in such locations helps in resolving karmic issues, balancing the energies, and ensuring that the devotee experiences a peaceful, prosperous, and harmonious life free from the ill effects of Naga Dosha.
